The third day of the “Roots of Sustainability” Youth Exchange Project was dedicated to raising environmental awareness through community engagement, interactive learning, and participant reflection. Young people from Türkiye, Georgia, Germany, Austria, and Denmark actively took part in activities designed to promote recycling, sustainable living, and responsible environmental behavior.

One of the highlights of the day was the Eco-Friendly Market Initiative. Participants displayed the recycled products they had created during previous workshops and shared them with members of the local community. Through direct interaction with passersby, they explained the importance of recycling, discussed the creative processes behind their handmade products, and promoted environmentally friendly practices. This activity provided an opportunity for participants to apply their knowledge in a real-life setting while contributing to public awareness about sustainability.

The day also included the Environmental Knowledge Challenge, where participants worked in international teams to test their understanding of recycling, environmental pollution, and sustainable lifestyles. Through friendly competition and collaborative problem-solving, young people reinforced the knowledge they had gained throughout the project while learning from one another’s experiences and perspectives.

To conclude the day, participants took part in evaluation activities that encouraged reflection on their learning journey and personal development. Through online feedback forms and group discussions, they shared their experiences, assessed the impact of the activities, and provided suggestions for future improvements. These evaluation sessions played an important role in ensuring active participation and continuous learning throughout the project while supporting the overall goal of fostering environmentally conscious and engaged young citizens.
