''Roots of Sustainability'' 5th Day of Our Project!
The Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project "Roots of Sustainability" (Project No. 2025-1-TR01-KA152-YOU-000299086) was implemented in Kastamonu, Türkiye, between 1–8 February 2026, under the coordination of Kastamonu Kalkınma Sağlık Çevre Eğitim ve Turizm Vakfı. Bringing together young participants from Türkiye, Georgia, Germany, Austria, the project aimed to promote environmental sustainability, responsible lifestyles, and active youth participation through non-formal education. As part of the programme, participants dedicated one of the project's activities to disseminating its results through creative digital communication.
During the "Eco-Impact Media Day" activity, participants worked in international teams to transform the knowledge and experiences they had gained throughout the exchange into engaging digital content. They produced videos, social media posts, blog articles, and infographics highlighting sustainability, recycling, and environmentally responsible lifestyles. This collaborative process not only enhanced participants' digital communication skills but also strengthened their ability to communicate important environmental messages in creative and accessible ways.
As the day progressed, participants published their content online using a common project hashtag to increase the visibility of the project's outcomes. They also reached out to local media outlets, schools, and civil society organizations, helping to extend the project's environmental messages beyond the mobility itself. Through vlogs, short videos, digital storytelling, and personal reflections, they encouraged wider audiences to reflect on the importance of protecting the environment and adopting more sustainable habits
.
The activity also promoted peer learning, encouraging participants to review one another's work, exchange constructive feedback, and further improve their digital campaigns. The programme concluded with a live online session where participants shared their project experiences and answered questions from the audience. As GrüneInitiative Verein, we believe that equipping young people with the skills to communicate sustainability through digital media will create a lasting impact, strengthen environmental awareness, and inspire more communities across Europe to take action for a greener future.
